Whenever I landed in the United States, one of my favorite places to visit was Sephora. I loved exploring beauty aisles filled with products that were difficult to find in Korea at the time. Like many Koreans, I believed American and European beauty brands represented the latest trends and innovations. Back then, Korean cosmetics were rarely part of the global beauty conversation.
